Genoa Baseball Player selected as American Legion Player of the Year

Brandon is a Member of Squadron 84, Columbus NE

9/6/2010 -- INDIANAPOLIS -- Brandon C. Drozd of Genoa has been selected as the 2010 George W. Rulon American Legion Player of the Year. Each year thousands of America’s youth participate in American Legion Baseball across the nation. Each state selects one player as their top American Legion player and submits the scholarship application to the National American Legion Scholarship Board. This year Brandon C. Drozd of Genoa was selected above all others. Brandon has show extensive support to baseball, education and to his community. Receiving “Top Senior Award” at his High School, a member of the National Honor Society, attending Cornhusker Boy’s State, a member of the Student Council, is an Eagle Scout and a is a Son’s of the American Legion member.
