Landkamer Replaces Grave Flags

Thomas Landkamer is a member of Squadron 16 in Norfolk, NE

5/23/2010 -- Thomas Landkamer went down to Columbus to stay with his grandmother for a couple of days. Thomas went out and bought 7 or 8 US Flags (grave size) and went through the cemetery replacing tattered flags on graves with the ones he bought. He bought them to actually bring back home, but when he saw the graves had torn flags he gave up his flags to replace them and told his grandmother that, "The vets that served, deserved the new flags more than he did". What a great SAL member. He walked the entire cemetery to do this, and he also checked all the garbage barrels and retrieved tattered flags from the garbage, so they could be brought back home to have them disposed of properly. This kid is a winner!
